December 5th -THE UPDATE
Well after I posted it all went so quick! The makeup artist arrived and slowly but surely I was all made up before we knew it my flowers (which were stunning beyond words) arrived
& then our photographer came took photos then we jumped in the limo. I was so calm and mum was so emotional we all drove into Newstead house where we met the carriage.
The carriage was so much fun everyone waved to me I felt like a princess. Then we arrived at the church and the wedding before us was still there so we went around again this time
everyone was gone. We got out of the carriage and Becky put my veil over my face. I was so nervous and while I walked down the aisle my veil was trod on twice (lucky I did not
trip LOL!). When I got to Louis he whispered to me "you are beautiful" .He looked so handsome. We were both positively beaming, it was all like a fairytale saying the vowels was
so perfect we squeezed each others hand so tightly I could hold on to that moment forever in time.
We then walked out and got rice thrown all over us pictures taken & we both hopped into the carriage. We drove off so excited & so very happy. We had some lovely photos taken at
the Botanical gardens, then we had some champers & drove towards the reception, Beth came with us & she waved at everyone she
had a wonderful time. I am so glad we let her come.
We arrived at Rosatis' and had a few more pictures taken then we made our entrance into the restaurant. The dinner was beautiful.
Afterward we cut the cake the middle layer almost toppled we put so much pressure on it! While cake was being served we had our speeches Kyle made the most memorable speech (lots
of naughty words - but funny). Louis best friend trent made poem about Louis which had the whole place in hysterics. Louis was very nervous and my speech rounded the rest of them off!
speech. The bridal waltz was soooo romantic we sung to each other "I knew I loved you before I met you" the whole night we danced, kissed and held each other it was all so romantic
like a fairytale more than I ever dreamed.
When we were partied out we caught a taxi of all things to the Hilton & Louis carried me over the threshold. We made love for what really did seem like the first time. The next
morning (after two hours sleep) we jumped on a plane and flew to Bali.
*Now you can read all about out honeymoon here*

the champagne off at Rosatis and gave final numbers and our cake is finished yippee! Louis went and picked up his suit I almost cried when I saw it, his mum did! Then when we left

I got allot of thing achieved today which is a weight off my back; Dad and I picked up the balsa wood for the easel (and tonight I spray painted them), we picked up the pink
ribbon for the flower girl dresses (Beth is having slightly thicker than the twins), I found cake bags that will be perfect
to put rice in, we found a bride and groom for the cake, I changed the $200 food processor we had on the gift registry to the cheaper $150 because we really want it and I doubt
people will pay $200 and I bought Louis a beautiful card.
November 15th(1.5weeks,10days to go!)
We received another gift today, it was from my Mum's cousin Margaret and family. They bought us a chrome and wooden clock and a purple vase. We have been so lucky so far, the gift

Well today is the RSVP date and I am happy to say everyone RSVP'ed even if they did not send an acceptance! We have 70 guests not bad response. We were surprised my Aunty Janice
Melbourne did not come, I think mum was upset it is her only sister.
November 1st(ITS NOVEMBER)!!
We received our first gift today, we received a paddington lace table cloth, a Grosvenor 56 piece cutlery set and a set of two lovebird champagne flutes for toasting. We received
them from Louis' great Uncle Louis and Aunty Margaret and my friend Erin is sending us to the Brisbane Hilton for the wedding night , that will be their gift to us WHAT A GIFT!
October 30th
We got alot of things accomplished today. First off we went and choose our wedding music this is what we choose: The
Bridal Chorus (from Lonhengrin) by Richard Wagner for me too walk down the aisle, Canon in D by J.Pachelbel for the signing of
the registry and Wedding March (from a Midsummer Night's Dream) by Felix Mendelssohn. Our organist name is Matthew he was fantastic.
After seeing him we printed out all our placecards and menus so I just need to write on them. Dad is a photographer so he has ordered 7 disposable camera's to place on each table
, so we will buy more place cards and use them to tell people to leave the camera's on the tables. We also choose our wedding
reception music this is how it will go: Bridal waltz is I knew I loved you before I met you by Savage Garden and When you say nothing at all by Ronan Keating
then I will have Butterfly Kisses by Bob Carlisle for my father and I to dance to, for the cutting the cake song we will have From this moment by Shania Twain
and lastly we will have Chained to me by Savage Garden for our formal entry. The last thing and perhaps the best is that I have lost 5kg that's about 11lb in 5 weeks everyone says I look great!
October 28th(4weeks,28days to go!)
Our Hens/Bucks night
For my Hen's night my friends and I went to 'Wild Boys Afloat' an all male strip review that travels up and down the Brisbane
river. I wore a veil and everyone else (including me) had naughty shaped nametags. Louis went down to the Gold Coast to night clubs and strips clubs We both had alot of fun and as soon as
I get pictures I will add them it will be very soon.
October 25th(1 month to go 31days!)
October 24th
We went and saw a travel doctor about what vaccinations
we need and what we can do to prevent the 'Bali Bug', we got our typhoid shot and we may still get our Hep A .
October 21st(5 weeks to go 35days!)
October 14th(1.5months 6weeks to go 42days!)
October 10th
Louis' friend Scott mum does wedding cakes and we have chosen her to do ours she did the cake at Sherri's and Seans it was very modern but very nice so we would love her to do it!
I also had an awesome idea for the menus; I will print them on a piece A5 translucent paper (like the one used for or invitations) then stand them on a miniature silver easel that
will sit at each end of the tables.
October 8th
We went to my friend Michelle's to see her wedding photos and to have a look at the dresses which she had made for her girls they were perfect for my wedding the only
thing I have to change is the colour of the ribbon. She also gave me the shoes they wore. She said if I get the materials she will make the head pieces like
the ones her girls wore only in my colours it will look great have a look at her girls here.
October 7th 7 weeks to go
We had a meeting with the minister today and he gave us a copy of our vows I am going to scan them and add them all into the ceremony page. We are having a wedding rehearsal
at 5:00pm on the Thursday before the wedding, everyone has to be there.
We also went to Louis friends wedding Sean and Sherilee it was a very modern wedding, in a garden, modern music, we enjoyed
it but it made us both relise how traditional our wedding will be.
October 4th
I finally got a hold of Rosatis' today, we have to give final number 1 week before and the ABSOLUTE final numbers two days
before, on the Friday before at 5pm we will set the tables out. We are going to have 4 tables of 10, 2 tables of 12 and one of 8 it will be wonderful, when I have all the seating
I will add that all in.
October 3rd
I rang our photographer Annette today just to confirm everything. She will arrive at 2pm take photos at my parents then she
will drive to the church and take photos of Louis' family. She will then take pictures of me getting out of the carriage, the ceremony and then more family photos after the wedding,
but we must leave the church by 5:20 to get to the Botanical Gardens/QUT before the sun goes down. She will also take photos
at our reception. I rand Toula also today and she is now arriving at 9:30am to be ready by 1:30pm.We received another acceptance today.

October 2nd
I rang almost everyone for the wedding today I rang the florist and she is all set to go the flowers will be dropped off at 1:45pm on the day so they stay fresh for long enough.
I rang the horse and carriage and ordered the black stretch for all of us to travel in to meet the horse and carriage we are now meeting the horse and carriage at Newstead
house a very old and beautiful house which will photograph beautifully then we will do a lap of the city and arrive at the church at 4:30pm, the whole plan of the day is
here. I rang the cake decorator Lynn and we had not told her we wanted the cake for 70-75 desserts so we need 3 tiers if we want
to keep the top tier so now the cake will be like this; We will have three layers all round the tiers will be 10inch 8inch and 6inch.The cake will have white icing
and white ribbon around each tier they will be separated by silver pillars and sit on a silver tray. The top tier will have a bride and groom on top with bridal pink roses
around them and be a fruit cake, the middle tier will have the bridal pink roses around the pillars and be mud cake the bottom will have the same roses around the pillars
it will have two wedding rings and it will also be mud, it will cost more but look fabulous, Lynn need a sample of the rose color two weeks prior and we pick the cake
up at 2pm on the day before the wedding. I also rang our city's paper The Sunday Mail and enquired about getting our wedding photo in the Sunday they are sending me out
the form to fill out. And the last places I rang were the botanical garden and QUT where we are getting our photography done just to get permission to use the that
was all fine. I have been VERY busy today and I still have more places to call. We have received 6 RSVP's now!!
September 30th 8 weeks to go
I went and got my makeup and hair trial. They did a wonderful job have look at it here. It was so much fun it took about two hours and I felt
like such a princess. In each loop I will have a french pin that is a daisy on each petal it is a diamonte and in the middle is a pearl then I will wear a tiara that
has the daisy's all over it can be bent to mold around my hair. Then because I have two veil on the shorter veil Toula will put it in the middle of the curls to
secure it, then with a long strand of hair she will plat it and bring it over the top of the comb to hide it. That way it will stay in all day. The second comb
will go underneath so it can easily come out. Then she will spray silver glitter on my hair and shoulders it will look exquisite. I am not going to wear anything on my neck at all.
September 27th
I booked my acrylic nails today Andrea gave me the number of the lady she uses. I have appointment for 2pm on the Thursday before the wedding to get a french acrylic manicure done, Mum will also get a french manicure done.
September 25th(2months 61days 8.5 weeks to go!)
I tried on my dress veil, dress, bodice and shoes and I was a bride!! Beth (my four year old) came to she could not believe
her mummy was a bride the one problem was because I have not tried on the dress since July last year it did not fit me as well as it should so I have decided I want to lose about
2-3kg for the honeymoon as well. I have 5 weeks before my next fitting so diet here I come. I think I have figured out how I want my hair when I get a picture I will add it.We also
picked up our passports, travel documents and tickets ,we got a free hand luggage bag and THAT was exciting I cant believe its getting so close!
September 23rd
Louis and I had dinner at Rosatis we ordered what will be served as our main course it was so yummy and there was a wedding there so it gave us and idea of what it will be like on the night how exciting!!
September 16th
My friends wedding was in Bundaberg but we could not because Louis got the chicken pox the day before.
September 11th
We went to Andrea's for Becky's final dress alterations today I could not believe the dress it was identical to mine except
for the colour was pink. We put the two dresses up next to each other and it was magical it was so real! My veil which was handmade in Sydney arrived as well and it was perfect
just what I wanted. My mum has two weeks off from this weekend and I will go to get my first dress fitting then ,we were unable to get it done on the 7th because Becky was working and it was too rushed today.
Louis and I also put in the applications for our passports because our payment on the honeymoon is due on Thursday. AND last but not least we posted the remainder of the invitations
it is a bit early BUT they are finished and collecting dust here it is only about 12 days early so who cares!!
September 9th (2.5months to go)

August 25th (3months to go)
Mum, Becky and I went shopping for wedding shoes today and found identical shoes one in white and one in silver they are just gorgeous.
I also rang Toula today and told her I really liked Jennifer Anniston's hair
style she had for her wedding, my hair is about the same length and I think it would look pretty. She did point out though
if it was windy it would ruin it. I have my make-up trial on September the 23rd and she will try the hair style then, for my make-up she will accent what suits me but keep it in
the theme of my wedding, it sounds so exciting I am going to try and find hair styles that I really like, so I can show Toula and so I can add them to the page.
August 22nd
The invitation are finished all we have to do it write name on them view the finished product here.
August 14th
We put the deposit on our honeymoon today so its official we are going to Bali! Mum and Dad also paid the deposit on Rosatis and Dad and Steve went and tried on their suits for the wedding Dad looked so cute.
August 10th
Mum Becky and I went to Andrea's this evening and Becky tried on the lining of her dress. It was wonderful to actually see
the dress coming together and so identical she also bought her lingerie. I did not try on my dress but on Sept 7th I go for a fitting with my veil, dress and lingerie.
August 8th
We have attentively booked our honeymoon we chose a different resort because we wanted to fly QANTAS
it is called the Nikko Bali its in the honeymoon/resort region of Bali and it is just magnificent!! We have to pay the deposit
within one week and full payment by the 14th September. Click here for all the details.
We also received the menu for Rosatis which I have put on the reception page. It sounds wonderful....
August 3rd
Well we have decided to stick with Rosatis, Dad and I went there today and Dad loved it so that is the place we are going we will have silver hearts on each tables and chair cover
with silver bows for the bridal table. Mum suggested that she will make centerpieces from flowers in her garden, which I think will be lovely. We have also decided that we will
choose our own honeymoon location and we have decided on Bali. We would like to stay at a place called the "Grand Mirage" its located at a place called Nusa Dua which is the real'
honeymooners' part of Bali. We found it in a booklet called "Bali on any budget", it includes 2 for 1 white water rafting, a dinner cruise as well as a few other great extra.
August 1st
After ringing half of Brisbane's reception venues I think I may have found somewhere, it is called Dockside it is a restaurant/hotel on the river very good prices and lots of inclusions!
Back to top of page
July 31st
We went looking for more reception places but three months is a bit to close to find somewhere not booked so if we don't find somewhere besides Rosatis is where it will be!
We also went to the florist today, it is over near Mum's ,its
called Erin's Designs.
This is what we chose for the wedding flowers; for me 40 bridal pink roses that are just beginning to open, they will be tied
with a silver or white ribbon around the stems. Becky will have 20 taniki white and bridal pink roses with either a white or silver ribbon also. Beth will have a posy of pink and white
spray roses and finally (for the women) the twins will have tiny white baskets with pink ribbons around the handle and white and pink spray roses inside. Louis will have a white
rose with one tiny bud beside it and Dad, Kyle and Steve will have a white rose by itself. We will be having corsages for Mum, Liz, Liz's Mum and Steve's mum they can choose the colours
they want. I have to ring Erin 3 weeks before the wedding to confirm ribbon colours and corsage colours.
July 26th
We made a HUGE reception breaking decision today we have decided to cancel Rydges and instead we will have our reception at
Rosatis (we think) in New Farm it will be alot cheaper and alot more personal we will get to decorate the room ourselves and we have chosen a company called An
arty atmosphere who have given a really good price for chair covers, table centre pieces and table sprinkles. I am also looking into a place to spend our first night as a married
couple I will add the details as soon as I know them. To have a look and read all the changes click here. This of course means we have to redo all our invitations lucky because there
were a few other things I did want to fix about them.
July 25th (4months to go)
July 17th
Louis and I went to Andréa's today and he tried on his suit it was so weird to see him like that it made it all seem so much more real. He just looked gorgeous.
The suit is called the Lincoln it is a black four button three quarter length high-fashion dinner suit, featuring a black satin cravat and pocket hank and a silver vest
to coincide with my theme of romantic silver/pink/white have a picture of the style of suit he will wear but not the colour of vest or cravat, I have also scanned
the invitation and you can view it a here.
July 13th
I rang Toula today she has done quite a few weddings and also does alot
of models in the magazines one in particular is Queensland Weddings. On the wedding attire page I have added some examples of Toula's work.
In September I will ring Toula back and we will make a makeup/hair rehearsal booking, she will need at least 1 hour per person on the day!!
July 11th
I rang my photographer tonight, we spoke about times places etc we are going to have our photos done at the Brisbane City Botanical Gardens and QUT (Queensland University of Technology)
campus ,I will add some pictures of the two places soon. Annette also gave me the name of a makeup and hair artist who Annette
says does wonderful job. Her name is Toula so I will ring her tomorrow.
July 9th
It was our eldest daughter's (Beth) 4th birthday today so we went over to my parents and printing out all the stationary so I have also updated how the invitation
will look on the details page.
July 2nd
We have decided Louis' Dad Steve will be our MC. He is pretty funny and easy going and he said he would find out little things about me when I was little, to complete the picture
so it sounds good to me!
AND we both decided a tropical honeymoon on a resort is NOT for us. Instead we would love to jump in a campervan and drive for 7 days stopping wherever we want WHENEVER we want whether
its a beach or in a park in the city we both agreed it would be so romantic. So I now have to find out about campervans.

June 30th
We went to the minister and signed the 'notice of intention to marry', there are a few more documents to sign before the "BIG" day but that was probably the most important to date.
The minister spoke to us about the music we may wish to have at wedding they have an organ there and we have to contact him in September to arrange what type of music we want for
my entrance and the signing on the registry. Louis still want "here comes the bride" so we will have a look in September.
We talked about alot of the 'details' of the wedding and this is some decisions we made. The flowers we would like to keep
with the theme silver/white/pink and have pink and white flowers (not necessarily roses) but a lots of different types, and
the chair bows I may make myself buy buying silver material, he will show us the two types they have there in September.
The minister also gave us a copy of how the order of service should be set out as soon as I can scan it I will add it. He also told us we must show him a copy when we have completed
it. The other thing he mentioned was bring the girls along to the church often so they will be used to the church and wont freak out on the day.
June 25th (5months to go)
June 23rd
We bought the stationary today!!! All we have to do now is make it. Mum also ordered my veil at Andreas
today. On Wednesday we received our samples of the coasters as gifts I have added a whole lot on info on them on the reception page.
June 16th
We chose the invitations today we will have silver invitations with the actual writing on transparent white paper that has
silver hearts on it, we will then tie a silver ribbon around the entire invitation and place it in a metallic silver envelope.
The order of service will be printed on card that has the same type of print as the transparent paper. Inside we will place a piece of A4 photocopy paper which the order of service
will be printed on will tie it together with thin silver twine.
Finally the place cards will printed on the same type card and that will double up as our thank you cards.
I also rang the minister today we have an appointment on June 30th to sign the 'intention to marry paper'. We will also sort out the 'order of service" that day also.
June 6th
Still undecided but I did finalize the guest list, we are inviting over 80 people although, only about 60 are actually coming that we know of. We have 5o invitations to make not
to bad I guess, so all I have to do now is make them! We think we might let people send their own acceptance cards. Kelli put them in with hers but I like the idea of getting different
accept/decline cards.
The most exciting thing about today was that I had some time in the city ALONE -which is very rare) and I found my veil, it is a 3 tier 108cm white veil with white ribbon braiding
around the edge and a cathedral style bottom that sits just past my train. It has two combs and is in actual fact two veils, one being short and the other being the long one, so
I can take off the long one at the reception. I originally tried on the short one but then I wanted to have a look at a long one and I fell in love with it. The total cost is $190,
but I rang Andrea and she said hers would be slightly cheaper. I also tried on a few tiaras and am sort of swaying to a diamonte small one. I want to emphasize more on the veil.
June 5th
Well everyone I spoke to said no except for the girls I post with at the top50sites bulletinboard they all agreed it was a great idea hmmm I don't know....
June 4th
I began the invitation list we want to have 64 people so we can have 8 tables and eight people at each table. We are inviting
alot of OS relatives unfortunately most cant make it. We are going to send the invitations out 3months before. just incase
they can come it gives them enough time. The other dilemma I have is do I or don't I send out Save the Day Cards, its a little note so people can plan ahead with plane ticket accommodation
and also have it in their diary. They are normally sent out 6months before, I am going to discuss it with my family and Louis a bit more and see what they all think. We have decided
to have the invitations from Louis' parents and mine because they both contributed to the wedding we are unsure what wording we want exactly but we would like the formal style of invitation.
June 1st
Becky and mum went for their first dress fitting with Andrea
today. Mum is very indecisive about what she wants so all they could do was measure her. Becky got measured and Andrea suggested a very pale pink but I could hardly see the difference
between that and mine so we asked her to go a little darker sort of a cross between antique pink and baby pink! I had a little look at tiaras but Andrea said next time we will
do that. Our next appointment is July 13th...I cant wait!
