May 29th

I rang Myers where we will be having our gift registry and they said to come in a few weeks before we want to send the invitations out and we will get a check list then we look around the store and mark off what we want on our list. They will do up little card which we insert into the invitations and people can access our registry anywhere in Australia at Myers.

May 25th (6 months,26 weeks,183days TO GO!!)

May 10th

We finally booked our cake decorations, here is a description of how we want it too look. We will have two layers both round one tier 10inch the other 8 inch, the cake will have white icing and white ribbon around each tier they will be separated by silver pillars and sit on a silver tray.
The top tier will have baby pink roses in the middle and the bottom will have the same roses around the pillars it will also have two wedding rings. The only thing we don't know what we will do about is Louis wants a bride and a groom but the only place they will fit is under the pillars which will make them 3inches high maybe his Nan will make them. otherwise we wont have them.

We went our last bridal show today not only did we make a final decision on your silver stationary but we found the gift we would give our guests it costs 1.25 each individual chocolate made by "The Chocolate makers". We loved it and its great price also! The stationary we have chosen is silver and by a company called personally yours where I can make my own! the other thing we liked was champagne glasses with 2000 on the handle and bride/groom on the glass but they are $40 each pretty $$$!!

March 25th (8 months to go!)

March 17th

We laybyed our wedding rings its so exciting I chose a 3mm, 18cct,rounded gold band and Louis chose a 4mm,9cct,rounded gold band we got the both matching it was so exciting! If you want to have a look at what they look like go to the details page.

March 5th

We went to my friend Kelli and Lincoln's wedding it was lovely I cried as they were getting married it was very emotional nothing it was an absolutely perfect day. I even caught the bouquet!!!

March 3rd

Louis and I went to visit the minister today he just needed our information so that he can to the "Notice of Intention to Marry" which needs to be done no more than 6months before the wedding and no less than 32days. At the appointment today he told us next time we came back we would sign the above papers. Then the following time we would decide on the music to be played as I am walking down the aisle and music for during the ceremony we would also discuss which prayers ,vows etc that we want. He will do the order of service for us free if we provide the paper I was really happy about that! After that appointment we then have a wedding rehearsal and FINALLY the big day, it was very exciting being at the church knowing that this is where it will all happen!! We have decided on our sister and brother too be the witnesses at our wedding. The other thing we have to decide upon is our MC at our wedding I told Louis it was up to him but trent is best mate would be good because he know us both so well.

February 26th

Today is my birthday so Louis and I went on a fun river cruise last night and he bought me the prettiest lingerie I have ever seen as well as my favorite perfume Dazzling GOLD by Estee Lauder and....he took me and the three girls to Legends hotel we have had alot of fun!!

February 25th (9months to go)

First of all we today I rang the church to cancel the appointment we had with the minister lucky I did because he also told me they had booked a wedding for 3pm which means they could not have ours at 4pm so we have made it for 4:30pm and so we also had to change horse and carriage times and it makes our wedding more formal. We have made a new appointment for 11am next Friday so he can get all of our details.
Then Mum Becky and I went and visited Andreas. Becky is going to have a baby pink deluxed satin dress exactly the same as mine but the different colour and less panels so it is not so ball gown style the total cost is $350 which is very reasonable. Andrea suggested we make the theme baby pink and silver so all of our accessories will be silver including the tiara, jewellery and invitations (which I suggested to Louis and he loved the idea! We also got to look at lingerie and I will wear a bustier that is $89.95 and they have matching full panties or g string panties. I always wear g strings now but to my wedding I just don't know.
The three girls will wear tulle dresses the twins in baby pink and Beth in white I would like them to have wreaths of pink roses in their hair I think it would be just beautiful! The dresses are $150 to make each which is more than Mum expected but still ok !Mum also is getting her dress made there she is wearing royal blue in a dress that suits her figure. Liz is going to wear a sort of grey silver which I am happy about because Mum and her wont clash in photos (which I have heard is a disaster). In a few months we will go for measurement probably the same time Louis does for his suits in May/June.

February 14th - Valentines day

We had a very uneventful Valentines to many things happening in our lives Louis begins a new job tomorrow after 1 month unemployed. So all we did was exchange Fiancé Valentines cards and he gave me one red rose, I am happy I got anything!!!
Next Friday we are going for dress fittings and to get my sisters ,the twin, Beth's and mums dress organized!! That's at 1pm at 9:30am we are going see the priest at Holy trinity and after that we are booking the cake!!! We sent away the booking for All Occasions DJ's today as well, we finalize music 3 weeks prior.
We have been really trying to decide whether to make the stationary ourselves or buy it. But I priced it on Thursday and I came up with $170 and that was just for the invitations and not printing then my friend Kelly (who is getting married on March 5th) told me it cost her $380 for 65-70 guests that included 35 invitations ,75 thank-you, RSVP and place cards so we might go with that company they are called Cupids Choice. They are sending me out some info. The other thing that we have been looking at is the gifts for the guests at a place called All About Weddings. You can get little bottles of port for $3.50 with our names on it and for the ladies little bonbonnieres filled with personalized chocolates. We have had to only invite 60 people as some of my dads family have given us a nightmare about the cost. Only thing was I had to break to Louis's mum ahh well it would work at about $150 total for the gifts on the upside!
Louis feels that he has not had a big enough say in the wedding so I told him the invitations and cake (obviously suit) were all his its going to be a bit scary though! I think its so cute at least he is trying to get involved I guess!!!

February 4th

We booked our DJ today at All Occasions DJ's we had a voucher so we get five hours instead of four for the same price and that include GST!! Its $350 for the DJ, and that is for a high quality DJ the good quality was $50 less but not half as good.
We also attended the Ideal Bridal exhibition for the 3rd time spoke to Andrea who is making my dress we are all going there on the 25th to get fitted and sort out dresses. Becky will wear baby pink and mum just has to wear something complimentary to me. We have decided to put Beth in my colour and the twins and Beck in the pink.
Andrea also told us she will not charge us GST on the formal hire for Louis if we book and pay for them before July 1st this year! So that will save Liz alot of money also. Since we have decided Louis' best friend trent will be the usher we are going to have Louis' Dad and trent in the same as well as Kyle ,my Dad and Louis the same.

January 25th (10months to go)

December 31st

We spent the first seconds of the new millennium in each other arms on a beach kissing what a way to see it!

December 25th (11months to go)

November 25th one year,365 days,12months to go!!!

We had a night without the girls tonight and went to an upmarket Thai restaurant called the Thai Orchid then we went to a lookout where you could see all of Brisbane then we came home drank champagne and toasted one year to go HOW EXCITING!!!

October 25th (13 months to go!)

I rang All Occasions DJ's and they told me to book in January and that it would cost $350 for a professional DJ for 4 hours and $60 for each hour after that that is including GST, I am very happy with that. We have decided to pay for the cake ourselves as the reception went up $900 because of GST and my parents would be paying out alot more.

October 24th

My Mother, my sister and I went to a bridal show today and I found out Rydges (where we have the reception booked) has gone up $15 which is a fair bit and all because of GST! I have decided the pink I want is a very pale baby pink and Becky would like it strapless but no train, Andrea who is making her and mum's dress thought the twins would look really cute holding my dress so we will have to think about that. Louis has also decided to wear a different style of suit which is alot smarter .His suit hire will be $150 total as long as we pay before GST.

October 19th

Sent away the deposit for the carriages and we also might use their black stretch limo as there are only 6 in Brisbane !! And I have decided I want pink for the wedding for my flowers and for Becky I think it would be beautiful as it has always been my favorite colour! I also rang the cake shop (called The World of Cake Icing) which made my daughter's christening cake and it is about $300 for the cake I want, then $60 for what is called 'kitchen cake' it has no decorations it is just served to the guests as part of the wedding cake and it will save us around $400 .Lynn told us to go in and pick the cake out before the end of the year and it is just a $25 deposit so we will do that soon.

October 13th

Well the HSV stretch limo has already been booked by someone else. So after making a list and ringing every wedding car service in Brisbane we decided upon a Horse and carriage, one really nice company in particular is Champagne weddings the carriage is a White Landau Cinderella with crushed red velvet and brass trimmings so because of what happened with the HSV's I will book it immediately!

October 7th

I rang the Holy trinity Anglican Church and we have an appointment there on the 30th to give the minister all our information. I went and had a look at the design-yourself-invitations and they were beautiful I will have alot of fun designing them. We have also decided NOT to go to Bali as there is alot problems for Aussie tourists there right now so Louis's parents are going to make it a surprise!

October 4th

We went to another bridal show today and I have decided to make my own invitations a few different places sell the stuff you need to make then and it will cut the price by half even a quarter, we have a few places that we can use and because I stay at home I will have heaps of time we think we would like gold invitations. we would also wax seals to seal the envelopes with L and S entwined. When I have some brochures of the places I will scan some.
We also have our first bad luck those HSV's have been booked they were this morning so looks like its just plain Limo's!
Then we went to Rydges where our reception will be held to see a wedding set up, well I fell in love with it. It was everything I had imagined it to be but I never realized how many little thing we had forgotten like table decorations, one wedding had hearts the other cherubs I personally liked the hearts, bonbonnieres, one wedding had actual bon bons the other chocolate gold coloured hearts in tulle I liked that idea and I could make them myself, and as well as that one wedding had little wine bottles the other had camera's on each table. I liked that idea also. We spoke to the wedding co-ordinator Rebecca .She said we choose the flowers, colours everything, she also told us about GST or Goods and Services Tax which is coming to Australia July 1st next year she said it will make the price of the wedding $65 a head not $55 but we can choose 3 meals from the buffet not 2 and we can make cake the dessert and that's $5 less a head so we will go that way. Rebecca told us one afternoon the two of us could come in and discuss numbers, food, D'J's pricing, how the wedding will be set-up, how it will run and themes...
But I had never thought of a theme. So I am playing with gold silver and white perhaps my sister could wear gold or yellow we would have gold bows on the chairs, champagne and white roses, Beth could wear white then gold little straps etc
The other thing we have not decided on is rings and DJ's Rydges uses one called All occasions so I will check them out soon.

We went to another bridal expo today and I think we have found the cars we want its a HSV Statesman Limonene the first of it s kind in Queensland .Louis's Mum Liz's friend a professional photographer has agreed to do the photo's for $100 Australian. And we also found the cars we want they are HSV (Holden Special Vehicle) Statesmen Limousines (for all those Americans Holden is GM) they are normal statemen's converted to a Limo!
